Now that January is here, my husband and I do a role reversal: he’s the one gone every Saturday (to the ski slopes) and I’m the one home alone. So far I’ve been pretty productive on said days, getting the house cleaned up from the week, working on new marketing materials, running in the frreeeezing cold, playing with Mr. Tucker, and even doing domestic things like knitting and baking. Today I even installed a gallery of eight mounted photos to one big wall in my home studio, but I’m waiting until the other one is done to reveal it to you.
Hopefully, you are not “Tuckered out” by now (haha I’ve been dying to throw that in there!)– here he is today after waking up from a nap in the sun.
For those who are curious: I painted in the background with the black from the top left. I then used the Flashlight filter to bring the focus to his face, then decided it’d be a better composition in square, and I fiddled with the size and placement for a bit. I had added a lens flare which created a very Zen yoga dog thing, but then I decided I liked the plain black better.
Shot with my Nikon d700 with 11-16 Tokina (I had just been taking pics of my new wall display) on A at 3.5, ISO 200.
