On Friday I met up with Cailin and Andrew who won the session that I donated to Sooper Dogs’ Anniversary Party. They were so cute– they said that they put all their raffle tickets in to win a session with me before their adorable six month old Labradoodle gets any bigger. Then, they found out that they’d be making a last minute move out to Nebraska, and our session was on the day before the big move! So this was a session to document sweet Oliver, and also to get some farewell photos of the three of them as a family on their last night in Maine.
Working with Oliver was so fun! I’ve never seen a Chocolate Labradoodle before– he was a hoot, and try as I might I couldn’t seem to find his eyes with my lens (or my eyes, for that matter!) Add to that some harsh light and lots ‘o tourists, plus wind (yes, the wind was blowing his long face hair this way and that!) and it was a challenging session but oh so rewarding, as that image of Cailin and Oliver just blew me away the moment I got it.
Cailin, Andrew and Oliver: fare well, safe travels, and enjoy your photos. I hope that they help you remember your years in Maine fondly!
