Well. Ian is all but a week old but he is full of personality! It is amazing to me how these little ones seem to come born with their own demeanor, their own preferences… I first went to Ian’s house when he was four days old, and the poor guy just wasn’t in the mood! No matter what we did, and how warm we got the beanbag chair, he just didn’t want to be naked and out of mom and dad’s arms. I sure don’t blame him, but it made for a tricky newborn session! Maybe he was crabby because it was rainy and there was little natural light to work with, like I was. Luckily they live close to me and I was able to head back this week, on a beautiful, warm fall day so we could take the little snuggle bug outside. (I’ve never seen a baby who loves to be swaddled as much as him– he was in heaven in that crocheted peanut!) In the end, we came up with some great images, with my favorite being this first one of Ian and his mama. And of course, I couldn’t resist a few shots of Jamie, who is doing a fantastic job in his new role as big brother.
