It’s been far too long since I’ve made time to volunteer for dog rescue groups- I was so excited to be able to invite Spencer over to our backyard this morning for some beauty shots. He is just the sweetest boy, so full of loving energy. I wish I’d had more time to let him off leash to romp around with Tucker for a while.

Spencer is an American Pitbull Terrier who is probably about 3-4 years old. He’s being fostered with a wonderful family (with other dogs) but is looking for his forever home. He met and fell in love with three year old Assistant Addison, as is evidenced by the blur of tail and tongue in all of the photos of them together.

Here is a link to the PittieLove Resuce site. And here is his personal profile, which will feature these photos shortly.

Please please please if you are looking for a new canine companion, consider adoption. So many sweeties out there looking for love!

A bit late, today I’m sharing a few shots of Nora and Dave’s Heirloom Wedding Album. I am in love with the quality of these 10×10 albums that are such high quality- they’ll last for generations.

Nora says: We got the album and LOVE it. So much. It is perfect. Dave’s sister and niece were visiting this weekend, and the little one just couldn’t get over how cute she looked in her photos!  Thank you so much. It truly is perfect. Something we will treasure forever.

Now that my littles are not quite so little, I’m looking forward to jumping back into shooting more weddings!

At this time last year, I was overdue with our Sweet Lilah…. I can’t believe that our girl is almost one already. Here’s a shot of her at 11 months, in a rare seated moment!

As spring is beginning to finally come to Maine, I’m starting to book up spring and summer portraits, and as usual I’m getting a lot of questions on what to wear for your Maine or New England spring photos. Some key points to remember:

At least 2 STYLES
Multiple LAYERS
Go for COLOR

While text and large logos are a distraction, patterns and details enhance the feeling of the image and can really help bring out the subject’s personality. I like the above guidelines because they can go formal or casual, or anywhere in between.

For even more ideas, see my new pinterest board on this subject!

Now, if only Lilah will learn to tolerate a hair accessory before May 14th…

I had so much fun meeting these six month twin cuties! They already each have such unique personalities… it is always so amazing to me how tiny humans, with no words at all, can have such complex and developed mannerisms, and these two were  no exception. We kept this session low key at home, where Madeleine and Jack are most comfortable, which I often recommend for our littlest subjects. This way they can be freshly rested and fed and are ready to play when I arrive.
