Welcome, Maya! {Maine Newborn Photographer}

Last week one of my very best friends in the world and her husband welcomed their first child, Maya Loren. Maya’s momma is like a sister to me, and I finally now understand why people refer to their parents’ best friends as “Aunt” or “Uncle” — it feels that way! I am so proud of Angela and Pete– these two were born to be parents, and we are all so excited to watch Maya grow.

This was a pretty emotional photo session– I had to put down the camera a few times to wipe my tears and hold Angie, because life is just that good.

I don’t know how it’s possible to have such a personality at six days old, but she does, and I hope that I captured it for them. Here she is after nine long months of waiting: Maya at six days old.
